If you miss the chance to take the Proctored SimCAT or Pre SimCAT during the designated window period, don't worry! The test will still be available on your myIMS portal as an Unproctored (Take-home) test. This ensures that you won’t miss out on the valuable practice opportunities even if you couldn’t take the test on time.

While the Unproctored tests won’t provide an All India Ranking, they still offer in-depth feedback on your performance by providing a detailed analytics and percentile scores, which are crucial for tracking your performance and improving your progress ensuring that you stay on track with your preparation.

However, we always promote students to make it a practice to take the SimCATs in the proctored window itself.

Here’s why you should try and take these tests in the Proctored Window:

  • Get an All-India Rank: Proctored tests provide you with a comparative All India Ranking, helping you gauge where you stand among thousands of aspirants.
  • Simulate Real Exam Conditions: Taking the test in a proctored environment mimics the actual exam, helping you build the stamina and mindset needed for the final CAT.
  • Boost Accountability: A scheduled test window ensures discipline and encourages you to follow a structured preparation routine.
  • Maximize Performance Insights: In addition to percentile and analytics, proctored tests offer deeper insights that are more reflective of real-time competition.
  • Stay on Track: Completing tests within the proctored window helps you maintain consistent momentum in your preparation.
